Are these tickford cold air intakes any good? are they as good or better than a ss inductions one?

Tickford are bigger than standard, will do the job and are only about $35.
SS Inductions are bigger than Tickford but unless you are running a much bigger throttle body you will get no real extra performance over the Tickford snorkel, plus the SS Induction units are far far more expensive.

i have a Tickford snorkel if thats what your talking about (the bit that sends the air to the Airbox) that will set you back $35 if this is all you change you will not notice anything power wise, 1: it looks better 2: it's 3 times the size of the stadard, less restricted airflow can not be a bad thing... buy if for the look not anything else, unless your getting a new intake system not just the snorkel.

Pods are not that bad but just dont expect big gains for only a pod. If you are going to fully work your car then a pod is not overrated.

Next step is probably a nice exhaust or stage 2 stereo.

hey i have a t-series snorkel and a k&n panel filter. And you do feel the difference in the throttle response. I was running a pod but swapped back and you can tell for sure

i have an SS inductions CIA, and i'm quicker than most other standard 6 cylinder fords. i feel it does make difference over tickford intakes, but not $380 worth of difference though.
