Does anyone know what the thickness is of a new front rotor for a EF/EL??? Standard rotor, not slotted/cross drilled.

Thanks Interceptor. Am I correct is saying that the min. size allowed after being machined is 22.2mm???

Also, what would I expect to pay for standard rotors and slottered? It looks like I will need to replace mine, and I'm considering my options...standard/slotted!

Yeah, 22mm - this info is usually cast into the rotors (front and rear).

They don't allow you much, particularly after you've had them machined. On average how much would they machine off. I understand to get an exact figure would be impossible? How many times do rotor get machined on average before they are throw-aways?

I wouldn't know, you'd have to speak to a brake centre on this issue. What I have been told is that slight warping is quite common - expect to machine your front discs probably around every 50K - 60K kms. This will obviously vary with driving habit, type of pads, etc.

DBA slotted front rotors are $115 each from bursons, and about $75 (i think, dont quote me on this) for just standard ones....
