I had a 10amp fuse missing from my Assy Rly socket and replaced it in my EF Fairmont this morning.
Before I did that, my highest setting on the windshield wipers would only work intermittently. Now that I've put that fuse in it works all the time and is strong.
Does that fuse run anything else?

Very hard to say with these things, and the BEM.....

I had an Ex Cab that would start, but the transmission was in Limp mode..... (Stuck in 3rd Gear)

Found out that the Bottom connector of the BEM (EF) wasnt connected...
That fixed the Transmission Limp mode, (As the BEM didnt get the Acc Signal from the ignition lock) but it made the wipers run constantly......

Finally found out that Habib connected the Front washer pump connector to power... Which was feeding power back in to the BEM where it shouldnt have been getting power, and making the BEM think that the Washer stalk was always being pulled.... Hence the wipers wiping !!!!!

Obviously Habib fixed the Wipers by unplugging the Lower BEM connector... Not realising that his fix f**k up even more things on the car......

Anyways, my point is.......... Ummmmm Dunno :? I fogot ?

BEM being intermingled with everything is right . . .

ACC RLY feeds the power mirrors & the heater controls, nothing to do with wipers(well unmodified, anyway). GLI/Futura ACC RLY fuses are rated at 20A, as opposed to the Fairmont/Ghia 10A.

As somewhat suggested, time to check fuses & plugs/connectors are connected properly before hacking into wiring.

Thanks snap. If that ACC Rly fuse was missing, would I get error codes from that with diagnostics?

I'm not sure Kit, I don't think there's any major components with codes that would come up - can do one and see what comes up - might provide a few surprises.
