Had the ED up to 180 and it cut out. Have skimmed about 13 pages in the forums and everyone says that there not limited. It's a 1994 model.Maybe someone swapped it with a standard ecu???

Yes it is a genny xr.I checked out the ecu when i got home last night and it has 93DT on it.(In the forum it said that DT meant Ford or Tickford.)I am hoping this is correct.I thought possibly that the computer may have been replaced with a standard not knowing there was a difference .

Later model ED's are definately speed limited, i'm not sure if the early ED's as some people with ED's claim they have no speed limiter. There is no reason to take the car to the speed limiter anyway unless it is running a big turbo and hitting 180kph at the end of the 1/4 mile, as has been covered in many threads.
