Do a web search on XB GT and you should find a couple of sites that give you all the codes to look for on the id plate and the engine as well as other identifiers. If is real and you want to make a quick dollar i will buy it from you - i have been looking for one of these for a fix up project for a while.

Stranger things have happened fraser... few years back (well before i was into fords) my mechanic/mate picked up an XB GT 4dr for..... $600 bucks from a family friend (read: no idea). I'm no expert but my friend assures me he had the plate checked out and she was genuine. A rust bucket - but genuine.
If that doesnt boil blood of the GT lovers... this sure will. We thrashed it around for an afternoon (christ did that thing bag up), then pulled the 351 & the toploader out and threw it in his XA coupe (goss dealer lookalike)... and sold the rest of the XB for.... $600.  Sacrelidge

Even if it's a faker for $1,200 if it's ingood nick I'd take her! I lvoe the XB/XC loook!

buy it, even if it's in bad condition, you'll get 3g for it.

easy to check the numbers
engine & chassie/compliance plate should all match and start with JG33 if its a sedan JG66 if its a coupe trans code B for auto / L for 4speed engine code should be T these are the basics to look at first. |
