Team Edge Audio from Arizona in the USA have posted a skin-ripping 179.0 dB to take out the IASCA championship in the Ultimate 4 class.

That is one loud system!

For my car i want SQL (Mainly Sound Quality but the ability to crank it up at shows and remain loud and clear, although not specifically measured for DB)

Most of the system i instal for mates are SQ systems on a budget... I would like to do a full on SPL system for someone, but no one has been prepared to invest the time money and effort to help me do it.
I'm a little busy now anyway with the birth of our first child expected in the next month...

179 - That really would have taken some work. So is that a world best record for a proper competition or what?

Research and design would have taken a fair bit.........
Check this sub out though -

has a 100db sensitivity - compared to 86 on the pioneer.

Yea the dd's are very nice. My mate has a 3515 in his maxima running off a m1 and morels running off a c4. Fairly intense, got the windscreen wipers bouncing of a 45hz test tone.
