I have an EA which has an EL dash and computer. All running fine
The other day I noticed the dreaded water leak and it turns out the water pump is cactus. So I decided that it was time to upgrade to thermos. I have the fans and the original relays etc. I set up the fans and tested that all worked ok on the bench. Everything works as per the book. Installed into the car and wired up as per the wiring diagram to the ECU. Reconected the battery. NO SMOKE so all looks ok. Time to test. ONLY this is where the problem started. Ignition on NO fans. Start engine fans run at full speed without A/c or int fan on. I have very carfully checked all my wiring three times.
Can anyone shead any light on what the problem could be.

Thanks in anticipation.

Clive

Is your car manual or auto?

Its an auto using the seperate auto computer and has a resistor fitted to the EEC to make it idle correctly

Ahh ok, well if the EL computer you are running is an auto one you might have to either trick it, run the auto off of it, or feed the trans temp and trans position values to it from the auto's sensors.

Ihave just done a code run on the EEC Here are the codes

786 Performance indicator light faulty
782 Not listed as far aas I can see
795 BBM not operational ( i dont have a bbm manifold yet.)

If you could explain some for these and possible fixes it would be great.
