All I know is that the unit in my Futura (96 EF) had an apline stacker attached via Mbus...
But some people say their unit is pioneer so I can't say for sure. |

But some people say their unit is pioneer so I can't say for sure. well the MRS EF FAIRMONT has that to factory fitted stacker but no amp & no sub. but what I was thinking is to get a deck from a EF upwards as I can still get a new alpine deck with front CD aswell as stacker control by M-BUS but $370 sounds a bit to expensive for a deck to me.

So all you want is an alpine CD player with M-bus that will hook up to your stock stacker?
$370 is a bit - I paid $400 about 9 months ago for an Apline 7874EB headunit for my stacker. I'm happy with it, but these days it would be old stock. You might consider replacing both (as a package deal) Although If you look in the FS secion I was looking to sell my stacker and cd player combination...... |

Well I got given a deal I can't knock back as its cheap.
Pioneer Head unit (high spec with basic display) Pioneer stacker both for $580 & head unit alone is worth $540 So if I upgrade the amp will get upgraded aswell. I know it would be better to do what was listed above but then again I wouldnt mind only upgrading the alpine head unit.
