its 125kw per tonne or 3.5 litres per tonne so if the car weighs 1500kg ten that bout 187kw u can have. so theres no way its legal but hey its an awesome car and if ur not to stupid in it u should not attract much attention

Well an EL V8/XR8 is penciled in at around 1580kgs, so I find it hard to believe that an AU II XR8 with IRS (or even without) would be anything less than 1600-1650kgs.

Nice car man, I am looking at a v8 AUIII ute to go with my other older v8's and my ba 6. Dont worry about people beaing jealous. I get it all the time, and at the end of the day I know my car is mine and can blow most of them off the road, no matter what car I choose to drive. You will have heaps of fun in that xr8 man. Be careful, I granny drive most of the time so I dont lose it. And i only give my cars some stick when I know it safe, or their is a commodore to be shamed out. LOL, Congratulations
