i was going to change my rocker cover on my eb2 to a ef cover was wandering whats involved i have the cover and new gasket .

from what ive read in otrher threads you needs to change to a ef/el gasket

you will need ef/el gasket,new bolts to bolt it down gasket goo,an extra pair of hands ,and prob the lead holers off the eb rocker cover

If you don't have any bolts, you can use washers under the nuts until you find some.

Make sure to use a heap of silicon around the cresents at the front and back of the rocker cover, as the EB heads have a straight corner while EF's have curved. Because of this the rocker covers wont seal properly when they are swapped...

I have an EL rocker cover on my EB head, and I don't use any silicone - and it doesn't leak.
The gasket compresses to the shape of the EB head fine. The cover appears to be a tiny bit longer, so the trick is to line it up so that the gasket is right at the edge of the head at both the front and rear - otherwise then you may get leaks. |

thank i have the bolts just need the rubbers for them . what about the accelerator cable and cruise control cable will they be a problem.
