Hey everyone,
I've just discovered this thing called hot earth, it's like a really good earth for your car that apparently gives slight increases in power, fuel economy and light brightness. I was wondering if anyone has used or seen these before and what their opinion is of it cos i'm a little sceptic, it just seems too simple....but still logic. People put better leads and plugs on their cars to achive a better spark, and power needs to get back to the battery to complete the circuit. I dunno, food for thought i spose. Anyway, opinions would be appreciated.

Yeah i've heard about this. Makes sense... good earth is important for stuff like car audio, electrical components of the engine are no different and some factory earthing is... well.... s**t.
I wouldnt go and buy a product, just run some large gauge wire from the -ve terminal of the battery to the chassis/engline block.

Well said, the first thing I did on my car was replace the battery connectors with nice big brass ones and run 2 new Earth cables to block and chassis and the weakest link is the crimping on the terminals, I don't crimp I SOLDER the cable into the terminals that way it can't corrode a few years down the track. And I had a search around the net on this product!!! Improves Torque Response.. (WTF is that meant to mean) and Reduces Static electricity in your exhaust........ The exhaust is earthed through the head and has to be a reasonable earth aswell cause the O2 sensor is plugged into that and there's only one signal wire from it back to the ECU so the earth return goes through the exhaust!! From what I saw on the website thats all they are (pretty shmick looking) but worth the $$$$$ I don't think so!! Another tip: If you've got a set of those cheap heavy duty jumper leads that don't work all that well??? Slide the rubber handle down where the cable is crimped to the clamp and solder the crap out of that connection!!!!! They work great after that.

They do look pretty nice and the theory is quite good, earthign problems can cause a lot of issues in cars. But they are pretty expensive, you could easily make up your own with some decent jumper or high amperage OFC cable.

I've earthed just about everything important with 10mm wire. Just took it for a run and it's made my car backfire and gurgle really well, sounds tough as. Lights are now blooooody bright!
