Hi All,

Ok, before everyone gets excited, I have 2 of the ELXR rims with rubber - the rims are damaged - ie each rim has a chunk taken out of them along the rim (oval-ish shaped about 10 cms along / around the rim and maybe 3-4 cms deep in the deepest spot - the other rim is similar in damage measurements too)...I am told they can be used as a spare.

The rims can obviously be repaired / painted - they might suit a trailer perhaps *shrugs*. The rubber is nothing special either - the only redeeming feature of the rubber is that it's black...tread is pretty much non-existent !

I bought these a while back with intentions of repairing them and using them on a trailer - but that idea has since gone out the window and they're now taking up valuable space in the shed .

Will post up some pics of these shortly.

$50 each or both for $80

I can also offer free personal delivery of these to anyone in the Melbourne Metro area or surrounding suburbs !

Thanks & Cheers,
Steve

PS, I think they both may have centrecaps too - will double check / confirm.

G'day Mate,

I'm in the Eastern suburbs - whereabouts are you ? I'm happy to arrange a viewing time and place if you're interested :)

Cheers,
Steve

Sounds a bit nasty steve! Do you know what happened to them?

Hiya Andrew,

I'm not entirely sure - I can only presume they were gutter slammed maybe...but they don't appear to be buckled - so it's hard to say !

They would look nicer in the boot as a spare over a steelie / suit trailer of some description - or suit repair, hence why I'm not after much for them.

I'll get pics first thing in the morning to show the damage.

Cheers,
Steve

Mash,

To give you an idea, I got an EL GT wheel repaired (including welding) and repainted / rebalanced etc and it cost me $170...being a smaller rim, I could onlny presume it would be cheaper...but then again the damage is more severe than just a gutter scrape. The good thing about repairing is that the rim comes out brand spankers - so it's like you've bought a brand new one !

I guess it's a tough call - if you're able to pickup 1 or 2 in good nick (ie no damage) it may be worthwhile doing that ? Anyway - pics to come and y'all can judge for yourselves :)
