ok i have a 95 fairmont and it has power windows the drviers window if i have had it down and put it up the window wont be able to be put back down for ages the button isnt getting stuck checked that already

well does it sounds like power is getting to the motor can u hear any thing happing?

Could be the switch but its proberly the motor which im not 100% on the fords window motors but id say it would have a overload switch in it and id say thats f**k up so most likely that the motor is stuffed

But is a little hard to say when i cant see it

well like once ive wound the window up i deosnt make any noise but it just wont let me wind it down for ages whilst the window is up if i press the up button the window sorta goes up a little its strange

deos anyone now the cost of a new motor if that is the cause
