Should I rebuild my motor & get a edelbrock manifold,do a AU upgrade on the top half or just just get a crate motor?
which would be cheaper/time off the road??

Depends what is actually wrong with your engine?? In most cases a simple re- ring and check crank roundnes and wear etc, bearings etc or full re bore etc?? Short blocks from www.suburbanimports.com.au or try Eagle spares 02/9771 5566 depends what you want to spend?
Just make sure they are the roller cam motor!!

depends what crate engine you go for. Also make sure you know exactly whats wrong with your current engine, could work out cheaper to rebuild your own.

Unless you've punched a hole in your block and you are chasing mega power then don't even bother with a crate motor. They are not as cheap as they are marketed out to be. The cheapest I've seen are from Coast high performance (CHP).
http://www.coasthigh.com/Assemblies/assembly_index.htm Everything else begins to sound pretty damn expensive from here on in. Remember these prices are in US dollars. |
