Please help me!
I have 2x 12" JBL subbies and a 350watt rms Alpine monoblock powering them. They make a decent noise (considering the cost of the setup) but GOD DAMN IT now the car - and especially the boot, rattles and vibrates like a VN on a freeway!!! It's quite embarrasing really, and i don't like cranking it as my rattling bootlid isn't exactly something i want anyone to hear My question: How do i go about eliminating this problem? Is it just a matter of filling the sucker with sound deadening? If so where and how much (quantity) or am i looking at a more elaborate counter-measure? Rattles in the car itself isn't a concern just yet, i just don't want anyone outside the car to hear anything but music cheers guys

Silicon the boot frame to the outer skin (after removing all the old s**t which has gone hard, and hopefully already worked its way out)
No more gaps to fill the frame sound deadening, as much as you can fit across the bootlid upgrade to EL GT boot struts. While you're at it, buy sound deadening and do the inner skins of the front doors, and also the parcel shelf. Armed with a Jaycar trade card I picked up heaps of the adhesive sound deadening squares.. I think 6 packs did the front 2 doors at around $18/pack. Another 4 packs would do the boot and parcel shelf. My midbass improved dramatically, and the only issue I have now is hearing air leaking out of the door seals when I turn it up
