also a good idea
make sure your alternator is earthed properly. maybe try some thicker cable.
and check the wiring to the HU for ignition, people never seem to check the ignition wiring.

i have a jvc kd sh909r mp3 headunit with pre outs, sub out 2xline ins etc, in mint condition with all plugs, remote, face and cover and unbrocken face suround that i am selling. I replace it with new model shdv610 dvd gigamp3 headunit and an lcd last month. The 909r cost $950 new 2 years ago. Offers over $250 considered.

make sure that your rca and power cable are on the opposite sidews of the car at all times and where is your ground wire for your amp. mabe it has come loose and you will probably need a better ground connection.

to answer for mitch, he always had them on the same side. And it never caused a problem. As for the ground, it's possible... worthwhile checking.

Its just strange that it happened just like that after washing the car. Big coincindence.
