what is the wiring like? is it coroded/heat damaged?
my passenger light has a mind of its own, it goes out then comes back on for no apparent reason, usually at the worst time, like when im behind a comodore or a cop!!!

Yup got the same thing happening (drivers side), not happy replacing $30 xenon globes either, though after a bit of poking around in the engine bay to find a shorting wire have found out my car has been in a bingle ! |

I pulled the battery out and had a bit of a look around, wiring all looks good, taped up a few things just incase. Globe is blowing quicker now, virtaully straight away, i think it's happening when i switch the headlights off, cause i never see it blow. Pissing me off...

might be a long shot but i remember reading in the Phillips headlight catalogue that one of the causes of blown globes is low voltage. Maybe check it at the plug with a multimeter.
