From what I have seen at my wreckers teh woodgrain is very hard to detach from the door trim.

I've already taken it off my wifes car without breaking and painted them and put them back on.

Works well and looks good. Thats why i want to do it to my car...

Take her door trims then? She'll never notice.

I have a feeling she wilol notice and she';s already not happy with the amount of time i spend working on cars, let alone knocking off her car parts.

Maybe i'll take it to my pannel beater, he has a habbit of knocking off my stufff.

You might find it hard to get just the woodgrain inserts - most wreckers will only sell you the whole door trim...and often as a set of 4...obviously depends on discretion of the wrecker etc. Still, a set of EF / EL Ghia trims shouldn't set you back more than $200 - $300...maybe cheaper !

I'd love to see pics of some painted up - show us your wares Aaron :)

Well still looking.

I'll get them put on the weekend and get some pics up.

They came up nicely on PYROLY. I also did the part around the auto shifter but left the chrome. Looks quite good. (well i think it looks good)
