Just wondering if its possible to run a T lpg computer with an aftermarket gas system, to gain the lpg spark maps and transmission settings. Im sure a bit of fooling would be required to get it running right, but has anyone done it?

yeh, theres no reason why not.

To activate the LPG maps, you need to apply 12V (or maybe ground?!) to a pin on the ECU.

Otherwise its just a direct bolt in.

Yes, very possible as Waggin said, give me a pm when your ready and I give you the pin numbers concerned. AFAIK there is only an Auto version of the Tickford ECU so if your manual you need to trick it into thinking is an Auto (judging by your request I assume your Auto), do a search here for details. BTW as I have said before you will loose trip computer functions when on LPG.
Cheers
TW.

Can i also PM you when i get mine.. whenever that will be.
I've been looking everywhere.. plenty of EL's but no EF's... :(

Absolutely you can. There must be a stack of them about somewhere, quite a few EF taxis had this system, perhaps a ring around of some wreckers wil pay off.
Cheers

pins 92 and 95 are the LPG related pins on the EF ECU.
92 = Fuel Select
95 = Gas Shut Off

Tried every wrecker within reasonable distance... also tried the hotlines(basically most of the wreckers are hooked up to it, you say what you're after and they all hear it and if someone has what you need they reply)
i'm sure i'll find it eventually though.. there has to be one with my name on it somewhere.
Well I wouldn't mind trying an EL LPG ECU in my wagon, if I find them hard to find, and I find an EF one, I'll know who to PM . . . :D
