We used to have a handheld unit that transmitted to the police. We were known for playing Chefs "Chocolate salty balls" on there. It was like our calling card :)

hey man if u can listen in on digital i take my hat off to u. there are still using analog as far as i know tho. have not been to street races since my last cannarie

I know they are still using analog here in Victoria as I listen to them. Also, if the Police were going to smack you for personal gain whenever they pulled you over then they would have certainly been smacking the Media companies for listening in on emergency service frequencies long long ago.

The Vic Police have rolled our the first stage of digital upgrades already
All police cars at present have an MDT in there vehicle which jobs are sent through the MDN to cars
however they still use analog at present for voice commnication
