I want to have a go at mildly porting my closed chamber heads to go on my 400. i have been looking at it for a while and thought, it cant be to hard if im patient. all i really want to do is smooth the chambers, and the inlet and exhaust ports, i dont think i really need to make them much bigger.
what are your thoughts on tackling a project like this, or is it worth paying someone? and whats the damage for basic porting? |

yeah i dont think it could be too hard just time consuming. i am going keen with this engine, and i want to build it right properly the first time round. i have been told also the "chamfer" the chambers to remove rough bits as they can heat up and lead to detonation, which i dont want as i will be running fairly high compression.
