i emailed massairsystems yesterday about a time frame for new meters and got a reply this morning, they're setting up a couple of dealers in aus and will have full details in a week.

Obviously if I am paying to set up the Australian meters I will be pretty keen to protect the calibration involved  From what I heard from Nick - this was going to be the case. I know that there are a few others interested in getting the dealership rights so I will see what happens from there.

Congrats on the deal, Cleaned the MAF today and damn, the bugger must have been dirty, flatspot gone. Stupid K+N Filter. A note to all, dont over oil your K+N Filter, it colgs the MAF. Only oils the side that doesnt face the MAF, and all should be well. Again congrats on the deal and well done, good to see you are getting back into the swing of things

or wont these be done to aus airboxes because they're not being sold as a new item?

I spoke to Dawn at Professional Mass Air Systems last night - once the "base" calibration is complete they will be able to recalibrate the Pro-M meters. Price for the recal is US$100 + shipping both ways.

He's out bush working at the moment so he may not PM you for a while..

You have to understand that he can not be responsible for your loss, but I'm sure he'll do his best.

Yes, I have been away (western Australia) working & haven't had access to the net or banks (although I could get onto messenger with my mobile from time to time) but in saying that - DeadXR has been refunded for his meter because I promised him I would wear it from my own pocket..

Anyway - new news - we have the calibrations getting finalised (as of last week when I got the email sent so they should be ready now) and I have just received the pricing list from Profesional Mass Air Systems so it looks like we are good to go.
I have taken on a partner in this venture in Queensland in Matt Coates (only because he is a navy blue Fairlane by Tickford owner 8-) ) so if you are interested the smallest meter is an 80mm unit but is the same length as the original E series and AU series meters (unlike the Pro-M 75mm bullet). Professinal Mass Air Systems are promising better calibrations than Pro-M had so it will be very interesting to see the results...
