hi guys fairly new to this but love your stuff. i have an el with lpg and i'd really like to box off the boot with MDF or something wondering if some1 has done it and has blueprints (measurments) because trial and error is just too expensive for me
thanks, |

Cardboard is your friend! Just go to the local shops or somewhere, and ask them whether you can grab some card board boxes or something, and go from there. Another good place to visit is places like ford and spray painters/repairers, as the boxes bumpers, glass, and things like bullbars come in are huge and will make it all in one piece. Then simply transfer to some mdf

i have boxed mine out for subs and what i did was screw a piece of timber up under the parcel shelf at the distance you want to box it from make sure its straight then cut a piece 1200mm long by 430 high (dont quote these messurement just measure your self then just screw the top to the timber under parcel shelf ,
you may screw timber to floor as well for strength i did

I recently ran across the same dilema. Got a pair of cheap 10" Xplods and needed to make an appropriately sized box. Having a fairlane there's a s**t load of boot space and I rarely put anything up inbetween the shock towers so I decided to custom fit a box.
A piece of cardboard and tape measure were my two best friends on this mission, I think the hardest part was working out the correct volume that the box and ports needed to be. It fits in nice and snugly yet remains removable or repositionable if I need to use the split-fold seat option.
