soon im looking at getting a TB and MAF for my car, and i wouldn't mind going 65mm TB and 70mm MAF, think that should be fine?, or could i get away with bigger without losing any power?, but if i couldn't get away with bigger, what prices am i looking at for a 65mm TB and a 70mm MAF?(mainly looking at Mr lanman, but anyone else that knows of places to get from and prices, would be a help too.)

Mick Webb gave me a price on his 75mm custom throttle body of about $800 and he's got a helluva lot of knowledge to impart. Talk to Mick Webb SVO in Ringwood.

You should be able to land an Accufab 70 or 75mm TB and EGR spacer for under $700....These things are one of the best - full polished and very high flow figures.

I would recommend saving and getting a manifold, or something else first, or getting them at the same time. I have a 65mm TB and 76mm MAF on my car and it didn't make much difference.
a 75mm TB is complete overkill unless you have a 700bhp supercharged stroker. $800 is a huge rip-off for a TB as well, look at www.vpw.com.au |

By itself, yes, but in conjunction with other items such as larger and better flowing inlet mainfold and some roller rockers, it's make a difference.

Extensive testing was one by Richard Holdener from "Westech Performance group" in the states for the SADesign book "5.0L Ford Dyno Tests". Anyone seriously thinking about playing with their 5.0 Windsors should spend the $50 on this book before they do anything else.
On a stock 5.0 HO motor - it actually lost power and torque using the bigger 65, 70 & 75mm throttle bodies. The GT40 equipped Cobra motor lost power stepping up to the 70 - only the aftermarket head/manifold/cam motors even looked like needing a 70 - the stroker 331 & 347 liking the 70 and 75mm versions.
