I just was looking in Sydney's Daily Telegraph and couldn't believe how cheap this "Genuine " EL GT was selling for. I am not sure if it would still be on sale for such a cheap price. If so whther it is a real genuine GT or some dodgy attempt at one . Pic of it looks original in paper.

itd have to be i nthe poorest of condit or they dunno what its worth - or a fake as you said maybe.
Originals in decent condit still sell for 28-35k.. 8-)

How much was retail when it first came out? Also what was the most expensive genuine Ford (OZ) to priced? Excluding the DJR GT

But then, you've got to take into account the market dollar changing.. so, an XY GTHO Phase III, may have been? what i dunno, say 20 grand, but when it was released, was 20 grand like 100 grand today? If you know what i mean... i got no idea how much they were when first released though :P

ive seen it in the car yard on parramatta road
