Don’t want to get into too much detail but could anyone with any information or experience about broken/crakced firewalls on V8 manuals (especially AU's) PM me and let me know your story, what happened and how it was rectified.

Im having problems with Ford refusing to fix my car as they've just mysteriously found a cracked firewall after i've had had problems with the clutch etc for 6 months and now they want me to pay for all repairs. A few guys I spoken to have said this is a fairly common problem however Ford are denying everything. Can anyone give me any resources I can go to, to confirm this is not a once off problem?

Everything can be kept confidential if you like.

Thanks in advance for any help my friends.

Yeh, its proving this to ford thats the problem.

The few mechanices I've spoken to dont want to get involved.

Im calling the RTA now because apparently they have a list of all the faults with cars including the ones that the manufactures dont admit to.

Anyone know fords 3-month dealer and 12-month base care warranty well enough to say if this should be covered?

Might be a good idea to call some clutch specialists too, like ABS (if they are where you are) because they would see an awful lot I would think.
