Canberra Car Styling also, but as far as I know they source a lot of there stuff from AWC.
I have delt with both the above, and I must say AWC's freight charges are dirt cheap and there response time to get the stuff to me in Tassie is quick as can be.
SSV (Sydney Special Vehicles?) maybe aswell.

Which XR kit are you after anyhow? The EF or EL one (both will fit). The EL one is more chunky I think. I've gone the EF front skirt and EL (modded to fit my wagon) for the rest.

How'd you find out about FordMods.com mate?

SSV get their stuff from awc, so its identical stuff to awc, just s**t more expensive.

Before you try the aftermarket stuff, make sure you look around the wreckers. I got my complete EL XR kit (minus front spoiler which I didn't want) for $500! I'll admit I got very lucky, but I'm not the only one. The advantage here is that it will be a genuine Ford kit, which not only means better build quality (no really) but it will actually fit better.

No matter how good an aftermarket kit is, it will never be as good as the genuine article (sorry Bob). When I was getting my car resprayed, the panel beater was very reluctant to fit the kit due to bad past experiences with aftermarket kits. When I told him I had a genuine kit, even one that was slightly damaged, he didn't have a problem.

Genuine also looks better for resale.

I certainly do not source anything from awc. I must say I get a little annoyed at people on this site always recommending awc and SSV. I've got nothing against them, but do they put money every month into keeping this free (for you) site going? No! I do.
Somewhere along the line some of you young blokes might learn to support the people who support you, because if you don't, we won't!

Ok thanks cfor the replys...i will give a few of the places a call and decide for myself and decide the best way to go. Its a debate wether i keep it casuse its a tidy car or buy a au xr. I like the shape of the ef and i think if i put the kit on it tint the windows it might look more like the car it should.
Will get some more pics of it and post em on.!

Didnt pay much for it. I am the 2nd owner.Sold a ef fairmont ghia as i got a work car. I was gonna get a 4cyl for a s**t runaround but i just couldnt beat the comfort and performance of a falcon......u guys would know what i mean.
The xr with would be a spot on car with the fairmont ghia options such as cruise/climate etc eh?oh yeah and leather... i suppose thats why the make fairmont ghia v8's.
