okay, i have an 96 XH ute with a damn ugly bull bar on the front n I wanna get rid of it and the bar on the back. I have been looking at a few options and wanna know ppl's thoughts. I can change the front end to an el or ef xr6 plus skirts, put a front end and skirts from spoiler factory, or just put a factory bumper back on. I like the look of the BA skirts, dunno if they would fit tho. Wudnt mind keepin the spotties and getting a nudge bar and roll bar. If i do that i am limited with what i can go with.

I did have my mind set on an el xr front end, but dunno if i want it to look like an xr wanna be if you get what i mean. besides that, it is a ute as well so options are limited.

What would you do?

I have a 96 XH XR6, with an EL front bar, and IMO it looks great. Be warned that if you change to an XR front the lights that you need do not perform any where nears as good as standard ones.

If you live in the country, I wouldn't go for the skirting etc, just because they would be more prone to damage given the places these utes are taken.

If you were to do what you are saying, bars and skirts, you are looking at a look of money, which perhaps could be better spent else where. Just my opinion for what it is worth.

By the way I would go for the sports bar for the ute area.

I run 99.95% around perth, bugga all chance of going out bush. The cash thing isnt too much of a stumbling block "mid life crisis". I dont think i wanna ute that looks like every other std or xr ute. But again i dont wanna stick out like the proverbal either.

Bob - Hmmm that gto front end isnt bad, didnt see that one before.

The first kit i looked at was the same kit that "EF_Mont_Ghia" has. Wuznt too sure how it would look on a ute tho, n the pics i saw were online too and pretty much one pic. What sorta put me off was the skirts, wudnt mind something other than straight looking, hence the BA xr skirt. But gotta say i like the look of the kit overall on Mont's car.

I did contact the guys here at fibrevision and they mentioned a custom mustang front end - saw a pic of the car they did it to member is "ruthless" - dont think tiz me, bit too "out there"

I dunno either if there is a rear bumper mod for the ute either, the old one has a pre purchase dent in it and i can get a new one from ford for $135 (unpainted).

Minor mods - clear indicators, painted side mirrors, chrome sports tail light (yeah yeah i know, i saw them on an xh ute few weeks back n they looked good on it), sports exhaust n poss colour coded hardlid. Internal gunna get rid of the bench seat (short a** female which means passengers sit on the dash when i am driving).
