Anyone able to direct me to a picture of the dome light from a Fairlane? Trying to find out the difference between it and the Fairmont type .

Yes, they are.
Look alot more modern and to be honest that pic doesnt do it the best justice.

but if you are installing one in a mid series you need the base plate that the light came from.

i put one in my car, and yeah u need the plastic plate that goes between the light and the roof.
its way brighter then the mid series light.
