Well duing the week the Mrs car started making some funny noises in the front left side & the car was bought at 233000km now its at 242000km and assuming it didnt get a 200000km service as in bearings repacked & greased up the bearing melted into the stub axel and f**k that an expensive lesson plus the pads were gone and I find it hard enough to keep my car in good order with working 44+ hours a week.

The cost to get the car done by a mechanic in 1 day was $735 OUCH :evil: but the stub axel wasnt exchangable.

So the metal bearing run melted onto the stub axle? how much they charge you for the stub axle,?

Bet - quoted Ford's new replacement part - supplied part from wreckers.

same thing happened to me, but wheel bearing broke, welded itsself to the stub axel ..
