my cat converter in my ef ghia is ratteling and needs replacing, got a quote from an exhaust place and the bloke recons $290 for a high flo. asked if there is any advantage of a high flow and standard AU cat converter he recons that they use the same cat converter from EA-Ba models. i didnt buy coz the bloke seemed a little shonkey to me. any way what is a good catconverter to buy and what price should i expect to pay?

Bit pricey IMO.
Go to a commodore wreckers and grab the cat out of a Gen 3 or LS1... they are meant to flow really well from the factory. Thats if you want to go cheap. Try a couple other places... Im pretty sure I didnt pay anywhere near that much when I had my old XR6 done. |
