list time i checked a 4 speed ea wont have either of those things..
have u been through the basics such as cleaning the throttle body? also you need to pull any DTC (diagnostic trouble codes) out of the ecu that might indicate where the problem is, otherwise u could change every sensor in the car to no avail. |

unplug the ISC and bump up the base idle.

no i already tried changing the tps and it didnt change anything......maybe the gearbox is bringing the revs down too low and nearly stalling the engine so the tps kicks in.......

TPS is different from ISC |

Its it a multipoint or a centre point...
If its a centre point, the the TPS is most likely at fault. Did you try replace it with a new one or second hand. If second hand, then it probably was fauly as well. A mate of mine did have a CFI EB. Had to replace TPS every 10 to 12 months. And these were new ones everytime. Just kept on dying, with the exact same problems you are having. |

Hi mate.
I too had this problem. Did you disconnect the battery ? When the battery gets disconnected, all memory to ecu is lost and will relearn the pattern on its own accord within 2 days. If that dont fix it, then the only known problem for this on cfi is either the power steering load switch or a defective idle stepper motor. |
