You got any lights on dash or anything, maybe got flat battery, the car is in park or neutral right, i made that mistake s**t myself. maybe alternator not doing its job, alternator belt gone, that would mean water pump not going either which is bad, dunno I'm just spinning off ideas, sounds power/battery related to me.

Ye lights on dash work fine, tried to start it in both park and neutral, head lights still go on.. when i turn the key to start the only sound comes from near the battery i think there are fuses or relays there, 4 relays under cover... does this help anyone...thanks.

So with the lights on, how badly do they dim when you attempt to crank it over?
Check the water levels in your battery - incase you have a dry cell / cells.

If you have access to a multimeter check battery voltage while holding the key in the crank position. If the voltage level stays at or above 12v while trying to crank than its not your battery. Next check that youve got full battery voltage at the power terminal of the starter. If you have check for 12 volts to the starter signal wire (small wire that goes to a splade terminal on the starter solenoid). If you have 12v there and 12v to the starter positive than you need a new starter.

the same thing happened in my gf's car.
its the altenator in her car. her uncle gave it a quick fix but it should be just about ready to pack it in again i think. her car even made the clicking sound and everything, all lights worked fine and it was also at a servo
