I own an XF man Ute with the carby motor, a little while back the car started running real rough, and stalled a heap of times on the way home. The battery eventually went flat because of it. It also stuffed the starter motor.

I have replaced the battery and starter motor, but it still wont start! (at least it turns over now!) Can anyone help?

I am thinking it might have something to do with the fuel (crap in the filter or pump) but i don't know.

Have you tried starting it with aerostart? - that would give you an indicator if the fuel system is the problem.

nah its 50 bucks over here for a newie, i dont think its worth the hassle of fitting a second hand one, they break down all the time and a second hand one probley be more greif than its worth
