ey yall
went to pedders today to get the lower bushes and the d'mount bushes replaced. while the d'mount bushes were easy to replace they said that when trying to take out the lower bushes there was a bolt that had siezed near the chassis,i forget what its called but they said they didnt want to use the oxy on it in case they cut the chassis. they said that they put some lube on for me to come back next monday so they can try and get them out. my question is ,is there another way to get the bolts out without using the oxy or replacing the whole part. cheers

What model vehicle?
What are the lower bushes on, front lwr control arms, rear lwr control arms? Do you have a pic?

D mount....... Assuming the sway bar bushes that hold the bar centrally on its inner section....as opposed to 'link pin bushes' which help support the sway bar on its outer edges.

If it's siezed in the inner metal tube of the bush itself then that's not very nice. In that case you might be able to loosen the bolt a bit and try tapping it out with a hammer. Don't damage the theads. You must also mark the eccentric washers or you could stuff up your camber settings. (although these would need to be adjusted after replacing the bushes anyway,,,during the required Front Wheel Alignment)
If only the nut is siezed then you can heat the nut up with an oxy just enough to heat shock the thread and then while it's hot try to undo it. (Heat up on one flat of the nut until cherry red...then try to undo..if it squeaks a bit and seems to get tighter stop and try a bit more heat before turning back a tad and then forth again.)

thankx for that al,by the sounds of it i should leave it to the experts ill get it done when i put my new springs in next week.

new engine cradle,bushes and springs are going in later this week as i gave them 4 weeks to try and get these bolts out but to no evail ,so am getting everything done to save on costs and only get 1 wheel allignment
