Question about fitting rear end......

i have a 9inch LSD disc brake rear end out of an 1980 FC LTD.

seeing as it is 2 inches wider than the 9inch of the XW day, what work is required to get it to fit, if possiable? and what kind of suspension/driveline mods will i have to undertake?

would it be worth fitting, or should i either get an original XW 9inch or cut this one down to size ?

hopefully someone who has explored this option can give me some advice
