i had the exact same thought, but with little technical talent i am unsure how to get the mesh to hold on to the bar, what method did u use?

I cut it to a size and moulded it in properly and use silicon to hold certain bits in, so basically its in a tight moulded fit and doesnt move or anything..

personally i suggest taking of the bar to do it if you want it to look clean/stockISH.

i wanted to use other mesh (round hole one) but the flow wasnt too good

I think the next thing you should do is get some putty and fill in the number plate holes on the front. I wanted to do it to mine, but kept forgetting to do so. Then paint over it with touch up paint.. Better than two gay holes.
