Used the brackets off my radio cassette for my JVC head unit - had to drill holes though, still fit neat as a pin.

if u get the stock brackets neer the front of them is 3 little holes i have found if u drill out the center of the triangle (the 3 holes) and mount it in like that

I think my holes were about in the centre of the triangle for my EB also. Slides in and out easily, and is held securely. Wouldnt do it any other way!

If the Hu is a tight fit on the sides you may have to counter sink the holes on the factory brackets a bit and of corse using counter sunk screws. If the HU has a recess on the sides say for a heat sink its wise to space/pack it out with some washers to keep the bracket from distorting when being tightened.
In the end it will sit better and perform better with less discs jumping!! |
