just my opinion, but the k frame or engine cradle supports the engine youd be better off using the jack on the chassis rails as they have a broader spectrim of weight distribution,if that makes sence

if you using a troley jack avoid jacking the car up from the sills as they can be damaged quite easily. having said that if your using a scissor jack then i would strongly advise NOT jacking the car up by the K-frame as i doubt that the scissor jack can support the entire weight of the front end

jakcing from teh k frame is fine man,the k frame is joined to chassis rails on both sides of the car which is a structual part of the car! i do it all the time
a trolly jack will do very little damage to this make sure u use axle stands just make sure teh park brake is on and u have the rear wheels chocked!

Might also want to use a block of wood to stop getting dints in the k frame from the trolley jack.

i have just bought a workshop quality 2 tonne trolley jack as the 1400kg one was showing its age.
have also got 3 tonne jak stands. i was just curios to know if the dents in the k frame were 'bad' for it or not. question now answered so thank you
