Is there any issue or anything to stop me from putting a hole through the firewall into the cabin?
I've already filled the cluth cable hole up and can't see any more useable holes. And I've got plenty more wires to be run through (vacum tube, coolant sensor fire, fog light wire and A/F gauge wires). So I thought I'd just drill another hole through the firewall for em all... |

I can't see why not, however there are a few other avenues you could explore.
If you take the inner gaurds off you can actually feed wire from the cabin to there, and then from there into the engine bay. Also there is room for a few wires where the accelerator cable goes. |

Why going through firewall for A/F??
Anyways, as voxace suggested.... pull off the driver's side kick panel and you'll see some holes in the metal skin with a few looms running through. Run wiring through here and you can grab them from behind the inner gaurd. Makes for simple access to the engine bay. If you plan on drilling through the firewall, make yourself comfortable... double steel so will take a while. And also make sure there's nothing important on the other side of where you're drilling, lol.

yeah thats what i was thinkin hope you have some good drill bit caus its gonna take forever to drill through, i have to relocate my amp power cable out of the clutch cable hole soon to, there will be a clutch cable int here very soon

beacause the oxygen sensor is right there, saves me runing longer wires to the ECU, also saves me haveing to go through the wires comming off the ECU - and there are lots as there's also shift kit and LPG wires added! dang double steel... i might look at the inner gaurd now lol! |

get a new drill bit for metal it will be fine!
just dont make teh hole too big! also a groment will be needed to stop the chaffing of the wires

if you drilled a hole, wouldn't that increase the engine noise in the cabin? and hot air would also get in?

Thats another reason to use a rubber grommet!

It wont take that long to drill through, use a pilot first then the size you want. I did the same with mine save have bits and pieces going into the cabin all over the place i drilled a nice big hole and ran everything through there

looks like i'm drilling, i had a look behind the kick pannel and that and it'd just mean longer wires and more threading to go through there. i'll get a rubber gromet from work.

Yeah just drill it!
I drilled another hole for my amps when i went manual as they were running through the clutch cable hole. Took 10 seconds with the right drill bit, i then grabbed a grommet from d**k and Done!
