G'day guys after asking you all about how to remove the moulds im thinking i'll just paint the ones in my bumper, and buy normal fairmont ones for the doors. Where can i buy the dynamic white paint from and how much will i need to do the bumpers, the black cover around the number plate light and the 2 mirrors? Or should i just go to a body shop and get them to do it? How much would they charge roughly?

I had my paint mixed into a pressure pack by an auto paint supplier. Cost $28 a can. Not sure how much you will need cause i still havent done mine. i'm slack. though i have a beer in the fridge so i will probably get the paint out this weekend

Depends how many coats you want to do. I'd say 2 cans should do the job, and then about a can of clear.

I;d say go for it yourself. It's really not that hard to do and because it's not a lareg area such as a panel you can stuff it up a bit and no one will notice. Just put heaps of effort into the preparation side and it'll come out shmick.

well i want it to look as if that was how it was meant to be. I'm thinking of just painting the bumper ones and totally removing the door ones, will this look alright or s**t?

^^^ That looks fukn hot, nice ride. I reckon the car looks way cleaner with the side mouldings completely off. What side indicators are they?

Hey UglyBob that looks shmicko without any moulds at all! Individual too!

Might have to give that a go myself. Do the indicators change over easily?

Tim

the ones i've got now are aftermarket clear copies which clip straight into the Gli/Futura/XR mouldings - check my gallery for a pic. the ones on it there are AUIII's, which leave a small gap underneath but are better than the clear ones i reckon! :P

the aftermarkets cost me $70 for the pair  i jusy wanted some nice, smooth lines - hence the colour-coding & removal of the side ones!
