Hey all,
My EF sometimes hunts @ idle... between 600 - 850rpm... other times (not often) it will idle @ 1,100rpm for about a min. What is the problem here? And how can i fix it (post pics if possible). Also... twice it has happened, that the auto held into gear (when i first took off)... and i had to change to another gear and then back, and then it fixed itself? Also... what is the problem here? Hi mate.
I would first start with the isc vavle , situated on top of the throttle body. It is retained by 2 10mil bolts., and a wiring plug. remove it and clean it thoroughly making sure the plunger is free to move. If the auto hangs the gears as you described , the fault may be the tps switch. Also be certain that these transmission have there regular services otherwise they will fail. Dirt in the throttle body assembly will cause faults with shifts. |

the gearbox problem sounds like what i had, mine was caused by the inhibator switch on the gearbox...as for the other...crank angle sensor? if thats f**k it can cause those problems..
