Changed my front pads a few days ago and noticed that it was really really hard to push the piston back in on my caliper. I gather there should be a bit of force there but it took me a g-clamp and some multigrips to turn the g-clamp to get the piston back in.
The front discs were replaced about 2 years ago, and I doubt if they looked at the calipers. What do you guys recommend I do? Pull the calipers off and overhaul them myself? Can I buy some type of "overhaul kit" for them? My brakes don't feel as responsive as they once did, im thinking this might be the reason.

Bought a kit from Bursons and rebuilt both the calipers myself. Used compressed air to get the piston out.

you could have air in the system if the pedal has a "spongy" feel
also depending on the pads you are useing it can change how the cars brakes and pedal feels! also the calipers hould not have to be forced that hard to get back, if you are unsure a brake speaclist is the way to go dont f**k aroudn with em, u need them to stop!

They are fairly simple to rebuild, just a piston and a seal. After I did my EA ones I never had any problem with the brakes.

mechanic here come across this before but never had prob with brakes pullin one way or leaking so i'd leave it or jack that side up and get some one to press brake while its runnin and you turn wheel and see if its stoppin prob and not holdin on
