sorry this isnt about a ford a frinds car (1978 Camper van)
she was having problems with it so i had a bit of a look. when i took the oil cap off while the engine was running it was throwing out huge amounts of air and bits of oil. i think the car was ment to run on super snd she told me she has run it on unleaded for the last few years since owning it. could the vavles be stuffed? it has lost a huge amount of power to. cheers the mechanics here will only help ya out with a question like this if ya have booked ya car in and are paying them. |

the valves will be f**k and the valve seats if the car has not been converted to run unleaded, highly doubtful being a 78, also the oil/air comign out of the oil filler cap is normal when the engine is running, my bet it is a OHC but the rings may be worn and it is breathing a fair bit
