Yeah dunno.
With such a low restriction system though, I can't see it being that much of a problem.

exactly what does it do, and would it make much difference? (with mine only being a 6 and not an 8). also can anyone think of a way around it?

instead im gonna wait untili have the bbm on, then get the biggest KnN filter i can find (aparently AU's have a large one), then get a custom made airbox bottom that will sit the filter in there with no lid, on top of the rocker cover, (so it goes straight into the throttle body, wit very little pipping) and get a reverse facing scoop, this shoud work like the old school phase 3 etc, and create a pressure difference at the windscreen, therefore suching air in from the top near the windscreen.

what do you think of that?

not a good idea

Firstly you'll loose response and more importantly you'll loose tourque\power

Ford and every other car maker have measured the rite length of intake piping. Its kinda like intake manifold length.
Its all tho do with air flow and velocity

to test this, go for a drive with a open Throttle Body...isnt too good. Sounds mint but :D

I have an article, ill find it tonight... Its a dyno test on intake piping with a gen 3
they found the factory piping was perfect and any longer/shorter was a less result
