ok, try this, insted of the 3rd pin to the left, put it strait to the door light switch, this is will earth it out, same as pin 3 from left. reson may be the earth is not on the pin. eg bad earth.
if all fails go to ur local ford dealership

The 3rd pin is the diagnostic pin, wait for the warning light to give you the diagnostic code, eg. 5 flashes plus 5 flashes is 55. Then connect a wire to the pin and find a good earthing point to ground, usually the accelerator pedal bracket, wait for the beeps, once the beeps have cleared immediately remove the short wire or another diagnostic fault will be activated in the form of a short circuit, this is heard by a loud audible beep, and your back at the start with a new fault.

ensure that the code 12 ( low battery voltage) has been rectified or it wont disengage

i'm a bit miffed at that pic, can it be deleted? it was posted in my problem and it didn't work for me either.
I was suspicious at first at connecting two pins without knowing what they were but trusted that guy Fordmod trust now equals zero. ALL advice will be taken with grain of salt and tested first. Very disapointed. I will have to try it to better earth though as i am sick of the light staying on!!!!
