Can a kit for a trans temp guage be bought from somewhere? If so, hows it set up? sensor wise

i have seen trans temp gauges, i reckon they are a good idea, cant remember where i saw it though :?

you'd have to have a place to fit a sender (probably in the sump pan with a nut welded on the inside).
just a normal VDO gauge with a matching sender would do it.
wire it up and ther should be no reason why it wouldn't read like your coolant temp gauge.

What sort of temperature does gearbox oil usually get up to?

autometer make trans temp gauges. one of ym mates used to have one. and yea i think it is the same kind of sender as a coolant temp gauge

Dunno how hot... over 100 I spose. I was thinking of putting a T piece fitting with the sender screwed into it and mounted on the outlet of one of the coolers?
