how ya goin guys.. for a while now ive been looking at getting a XR6 lsd (3.45) the cheapest around ive seen so far is about $500 disk to disk (i think its disk to disk anyway).. im in perth and im wondering if thats over priced... i really only need the diff centre. how much SHOULD i pay for it? i can fit it myself but if i decide to get it fitted properly whats a good ballpark figure to look for?

fit yourself (get a strong friend, and some beer). and $500 is what I paid for mine.

But being a Ghia, don't you already have a 3.45 LSD ???

Series one EF Fairmont Ghias didn't get the 3.45s.

EF Ghia should have a 3.45 diff already u know. Certainly every six cyl i know of does (only two mind you)

Diff ratio changes is about $1100 drive in drive out new bearings. $1500 with ratio change and LSD centre.

Gears cost $350 odd and labour is $300 odd at the bargin basement end of the market.

easier to do a whole diff swap drum to drum.
