What is actually involved in 'beefing up' an auto. I assume its a bit more than an electronic shiftkit.

Is it possible to do by a novice? or for the pro's only? |

heyo,
i pulled apart a 3spd auto once, the most amazing assorment of gears, bearings, valves, and stange looking bits and piece you will ever see. easily a few hundred parts, i'm just glad it was at a wreaker and i didn't have to put it back to gether! if its slipping, maybe the belts need to be adjusted? i've also heard about some valve that wears out or stops working that needs to be replaced. considered get it it service at an auto trans workshop? cya Rene' |
