i just went out to the car and the alternator is making crunching type noises is the best way to discribe it, need a new one?, or maybe just pulley needs crc or something, but gets faster as engine revs harder..., any ideas?

lol, went out to the car again and started it and i was going to spray WD40 on it to see if it made a difference, but didn't make any nosies sprayed some anyway, but yeah, might make noises again, but we'll see.

still any ideas or maybe just nothing?

the dust seals in the bearings have probly shat them selfs and has let some dust in with the grease, whats makes a nice little grining paste, kills the bearings pretty quick.

thats my idea

take it down to lonsdale street auto elects( lonsdale street dandenong) say that "statewide bearings" have sent you ask them if they can tell you if it the bearings or the pulley.

It's pretty much new one or reco it

my valaiant done that....i know what you mean...its not like a bearing whine, its more like a crunch....unfortunately mine didnt just go away... :(
